Havent seen the family for a while, for once I am happy that they werent talking about 14th of March/Opposition clashes. Feels good, my cousin just returned from the far east, touring couple of countries...
I still have couple of things to do for the day... seems to me life is just wonderful

Christmas Symbols
Well, Christmas means a lot to me for one reason: During this time my pictures as a kid were taken, and saw myself growing... I guess the family never had any good reasons to take pictures of us hiding during the civil war... so Christmas (and sometimes Easter) had its moments at least...

Free Hugs
For those who were in Jemayzi , probably they noticed an "activist" group called Free Hugs.
They were wearing T-Shirts and hugging everyone they saw, and they were selling pins written Free Hugs whose money went to St. Jude's Children Cancer research center. I thought the idea was amusing and very unique.
The only objection I had is that one group scattered in Jemayzi didnt hug a poor beggar looking for bread...other than that I encourage any form of bringing money to children's cancer research...

Enemy of my Enemy is my friend?
Something that has been taking place within the secular circles...I am heavily considering to write about that concept and why I refuse it

First Served!
Well, today wherever I went, I was quickly served. At the Cashiers, at any place I went, I wondered why... then it hit me that when standing in line with a laptop on my back, I would become like Moses split the Red Sea (well so some people think!), and people are so terrified, suddenly it hit me having a laptop on your back in these circumstances, makes your life a bit faster

Fatah, Hamas and Lebanon
Isnt it ironical that 14th of March support blindly Fatah while Opposition supports Hamas?

Fireworks scared the Hell Out of Me
There I was at this cool evening taking a walk (for those who dare at midnight), the next thing I hear a big explosion echoing, and I wondered if I was dead or alive, well I was alive, and afterwards, more came and it turned out as Fireworks, just as the sky glittered majestically with them, although I am sure several thought it was another explosion, here are my pics :

Zionists Crappy Propaganda regarding 1948
Why the hell if Zionists were advocates of Peace were burning down towns and destroying houses brick by brick of the Palestinians back in 1948, despite the fact that some towns didn't want to be politically involved in anything?!
Leftist From Lebanon's Blog
I haven't been so happy with a such a blog as it reflects the tiny social adventures of our comrade, very vital on the Lebanese Arena, he was correct to call himself Street Eyes.
Opposing Nationalism
To fight all forms of Nationalism is the blessing of being a Marxist. Whether Lebanese, Palestinian, Syrian, Magna Syrian, Arab, Phoenician, and Zionist is the blessing to have the eyes of an Internationalist that sees people are people whereber you. By far, the most catastrophic form of Nationalism is that of the Zionists, for they expelled Palestinians from their homes, established a racist state, and still deny the existence of others. In fact, Zionism is an exclusive form of nationalistic colonialism. They destroyed and demolished cities far worse than the Serbs did in previous Yugoslavia.
Other forms of nationalism vary between one type of followers or another. Some attain the attributes of Zionism in terms of exclusivenes.
For me, seeing from the eye of an Internationalist Marxist, all forms of nationalism are reactionary, and play the role to seperate the Proletariat.
PS: Wanted to add that we even got Beirut Nationalism

Wishful Solution
Don't you wish that if the whole of the people in Lebanon, wouldn't about 60% of its problems would be over? At least all these clowns for politicians would be out of business...

Missing an old friend
Dad, in those terrible moments I am passing through on all levels, I miss you :(
Some Reactionaries
It amazes me how some people mix up between Arab Nationalism and Palestinian Nationalism, and end up Fascists. Sometimes, they can me as fascists as the Lebanese Forces themselves...
Al-Jazeera and Saida
It is ironic that bullets are flying everywhere in Saida, whereby the army and Jund el Sham are clashing, and only a foreign TV station broadcasted it live, al-Jazeera.

Tribunal
Funny, the only thing all the people who rushed or opposed the International Tribunal because one form of elites mobilized their followers for it, and the followers hope to wack other elites.
I wonder why the people never rushed for a Tribunal to persecute all the War Criminals after the Civil War ...

Bets anyone?
Interesting, as I was returning home, I heard some people were betting that tonight's bets will be in location X or Y or Z. Actually, one person was making a bet up to 100$ (wil balad machi)!
Everyone is convinced that a "boom" will occur tonight because the International Tribunal will be voted in the UN's secuity council.

Lefties of T-Marbouta/Barometer! Unite!
Don't you hate the fact you go to a place loaded with leftists, mostly each self-promoting oneself as an angry revolutionary miss-understood by the world?
Don't you hate it when each group regards other "comrades" as the OTHER?!
Don't you hate it when each group regards other "comrades" as the OTHER?!
Who isn't
Who isn't fed up from all those political bullshit, media crap, and whatever. Don't you just hate being labeled the other while a fool comes and self-proclaims oneself as a true path to salvation?!
The Army
To those blindly supporting the army, why did they ditch it in the past, it has the same leader...
Regarding Chomsky
I remember Chomsky was visiting Lebanon 1998, several parties threatened to assassinate him then. Now he is a hero to the same audience, because he had lunch with Nasrallah.
